Everything you need to know about Nojam.
Nojam is a visual interface for AI conversations. Instead of just reading text, you watch your AI respond using animated talking heads. We provide the animation engine and the environment; you provide the intelligence.
Our initial launch features a stylized, animated "talking head" avatar. They are designed to be expressive and engaging without trying to be realistic human replicas. We will be expanding our character library in future updates.
You can start chatting for free. However, because Nojam connects to powerful AI models (like GPT-4 or others), you will need your own API key from those providers. You pay the provider directly for their usage; Nojam is free to access.
Your data stays on your device. Your API key and your chat history are stored locally in your browser. We do not have a central database of your conversations, nor do we store your API keys on our servers.
We support any AI provider that offers a standard OpenAI-compatible API. This includes major cloud providers as well as local models (like those running via LM Studio or llama.cpp) if you configure the endpoint correctly.
We use advanced synchronization algorithms to match the avatar's mouth movements and expressions to the text being generated. While it provides a "talking head" experience, exact phoneme-perfect lip-syncing is not the goal.
Nojam does not monitor your chats. However, the AI models you connect to (e.g., OpenAI) have their own safety filters. If you use a local model, you are responsible for managing your own content policies.
You are free to use the animations for your personal enjoyment, provided you comply with the Terms of Service. However, you cannot commercialise the output without written permission from Nojam. You also cannot resell the Nojam software or the animation assets themselves.
