Nojam Terms of Service

Welcome to Nojam. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services (the "Service"). By accessing or using Nojam, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service & Local Processing

Nojam provides an animation environment that allows users to visualize AI-generated text as animated talking heads.

Critical Note on Data: Nojam is designed with a "local-first" architecture. Your API keys, chat history, and the raw text of your conversations are processed exclusively on your own device (client-side). We do not store your conversation logs or transmit your API keys to our servers for storage.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

You acknowledge that all intellectual property rights associated with the Nojam Service belong exclusively to Nojam and its licensors.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• The Avatars: All character designs, models, meshes, textures, and visual representations provided within the Service.
• The Animations: The underlying code, algorithms, rigging, lip-sync logic, and motion data that drive the avatar movements.
• The Interface: The user interface, layout, and source code of the Nojam platform.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use these assets solely for personal, non-commercial interaction with the AI models. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the animations or avatars.

3. User Responsibilities & API Keys

Since Nojam acts as a bridge to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), you are responsible for:

• Securing Your Keys: You must keep your API keys secure. Since these keys are stored locally in your browser/device storage, ensure you are using a trusted device.
• Compliance with Third-Party TOS: You agree to comply with the Terms of Service of the AI provider you connect (e.g., OpenAI's usage policies). Nojam is not responsible for any bans or restrictions imposed by third-party providers due to your usage.
• Content Liability: You are solely responsible for the content you generate and the prompts you use. You agree not to use the Service to generate illegal, hateful, or infringing content.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
• Create deepfakes for the purpose of deception, fraud, or harassment.
• Attempt to scrape, harvest, or extract the underlying animation assets.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the animations will be perfectly synchronized at all times, nor do we guarantee the accuracy of the AI responses generated by third-party models.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Nojam be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service, including any losses resulting from API key exposure due to user device compromise or third-party AI provider outages.

7. Accuracy of AI Responses & User Verification

You acknowledge that Nojam serves as a visualisation tool for content generated by third-party Artificial Intelligence models. While we strive to provide a functional interface, Nojam does not control the responses, logic, or data returned by these external AI providers.

By using the Service, you agree to the following:

• No Guarantee of Accuracy: Output generated via the Service may contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, outdated information, or inappropriate content. Nojam makes no representations or warranties regarding the truthfulness, reliability, or completeness of any AI-generated text.
• Verification Obligation: It is your sole responsibility to verify the accuracy and appropriateness of any output. You must exercise your own human judgment when interpreting results.
• Prohibition on Reliance for Critical Decisions: You agree not to rely on the Service as a substitute for professional advice. Specifically, you shall not use AI-generated responses for matters having a material impact on your life, including but not limited to health, medical, legal, financial, insurance, or safety-related decisions.
• No Liability for Output: Nojam is not liable for any errors, omissions, or misunderstandings arising from the use of AI-generated content. You assume all risks associated with the use of such content.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
